A guy I work has a 17" Micron monitor he's willing to sell me for $40.00. I've been searching around trying to find out if this monitor is any good but with little luck. I was wondering if anybody might have any experience with Micron, or opinions on whether this is a good deal?
(I'm waiting to hear back from on what model it is)

Hi LJ-
I picked up a Micron 700FGx 17" monitor back in 1998 together with a PII 333Mgz system. The 333 box is still goin' strong but the monitor blew out after about 3 years (Quake2 fragfest killed it IIRC), I will say though the monitor had a great picture (up to 75 Hertz res @ 1024 X 768), if someone offered me one for $40, and I had a use for it, i'd snatch it up. I'm not positive, but I seem to recall that it was a rebadged Samsung.
Good Luck

Thanks for the reply :)
As far as I can tell Micron's seem to be, as you mention, rebranded monitors sold with systems. The few reviews I've found online haven't been too shining, but for $40...
Problem is the hdd in my main rig died last night so I might have some higher priorties first....
