I just got an old Toshiba Satalite From a freind, 400Mhz laptop,

Anyways the screen ghost really bad, I mean really bad, it looks like you have mouse trails when you don't and it hurts my eyes to watch myself type

is there any way to fix this, were they like this in the first place,

If its unfixable I may jsut return it as I cant look at the screen for more than ten minutes

There is no way to do a FIX to a LCD. It is how it is and thats it. Only way to so called fix it is get a new one and connect all the wires into its place, basically more trouble then its worth.

Return it. You won't get a higher response time on that screen.

meh iv gotten used to it now

it is kind of funny playing halflife though since its like having the dx9 motion blur effect on and going really fast,

lol, response time must be like 50ms or greater :D
