Dumb question

I have a 955DF samsung 19incher

why is it when i go to 1600x1200 i have to scroll my desktop/and games around?
I tried jacking with all the settings..nothing helping..must be something simple I am overlooking..

in your settings make sure that the monitor is the default monitor. If you have a second output from the video card like to a TV try turning that output off.

Make sure 1600x1200 is your "viewable" desktop... not the artificial desktop.. a lot of cards have the ability to do an almost unlimited sized desktop (but you have to scroll).

It is a pretty simple thing...

yea, check with the advanced settings in the display panel. I sometimes hook my laptop up to a desktop to use the full sized keyboard, etc. The laptop screen runs at 1400x1050, but the CRT I have is only capable of 1280x1024 so it scrolls on the CRT to fit the entire desktop.
