Well I'm completely confused as to what monitor to choose so please recomend me something. I need to order it tonight so be fast please ;) I can afford just about anything except for the nice sweet 12ms samsung 172x :( But just about anything up to around $450 including shipping should be fine. I was originally set on getting the BenQ FP767 http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=24-014-049&depa=0
but I'm worried if the lack of a DVI will make it a bad buy. I might have to run it lower than the native res. :/
Thanks,
Vio

I'm also interested in this because I'm looking for a new 17" LCD as well.

I just ordered the Samsung 710T. And do yourselfa favor and Order from MonitorsDirect.com.
Newegg sucks for monitors
Withg them you need 8 deadpixels to return it
wiith monitors direct you need 1
or if you dont like the monitor in 30 days you can just return it
What other company does that
They have a perfect 10 on reseller ratings

It may be the best, but I can't afford it. :( Anything cheaper? Keep the suggestions coming guys, the clockss ticking....
edit: Hmmm, should I, or should I not spend the extra $100 on a 710T vs. a Benq :p

Fry's currently has the 12 ms Samsung for $459.00 with a $30.00 dollar rebate until July 3rd, and this IS the best if you are a gamer. I picked one up today....

Sorry to be rude, but we don't all live on the West Coast so we don't have Fry's over here :/ and as far as I know, outpost.com just isn't the same.

Planar makes a great LCD for the price but I would spend a little extra and get the Samsung.

Im really liking my 1760nx a lot. I have not seen so much as an instance of ghosting and the IQ is ten times better then my old CRT. Of course I have always been a sucker for Mitsubishi display products.

I can't believe I'm staying up all night trying to decide :( I know I should get a nice 710t but I don't have $500+ So instead I narrowed it down to these three>
BenQ 767v-2 Seems like the go to monitor for bang for buck.

Iiayama ProLite E431S-S- The main great thing is the DVI port and the price.

I would get the samsung 173p if it were me (I'm not a big gamer at all). But if i were you I would save my money until I would get something that is actually perfect for you. Don't settle.

I'd save my money too....just that, #1 I need this LCD within a week, and #2 I don't really have the money for this all anyway. I'm borrowing some from the parents. Then again is there a big difference between $520 and $438 between the 710T and 710N. Hmmm yes there's a big gap of about $92. So then, about to plunge into the LCD world with a 710N. Is it worth it or go for the BenQ?

Id beg for the 710t

Why do I get the impression that OCForums is the most expensive forum I've ever been a member of?? :p I suppose I can beg for the 710T but, now that I think of it, it's really over $100 more   I think I'll just go for the 710N. It has to be better than the BenQ and it can't be so bad even with the Dsub connection. Uh right?
Meh ordering the 710N and no one can stop me :burn: I'll have a review up once I have time to full around with it :D

As far as I know, they're exactly the same. Unless it's the 710VT which it's not since the specs don't match. And as for what monitor I'm getting, I begged and I got it......the 710T :D :D I really hate these forums...j/k :D

I ended up getting the 712n fron compusa for $459 with a $80 rebate so in the end its a good deal I think $379 for a 17inch LCD..... not bad atleast to me.
