View Full Version : Abit AA8-DuraMAX 925X Opinions
Anyone have any experience with this MB or chipset yet?
Lots of very nice features I'm just concerned with the stability of the board with so much new stuff.

I say buy it :)
You need to get the new SATA drives, PCI card, 775 chip, and DDR2 and let us all know how it goes :bday:
Overclock to the max on air, water, and phase please :D
I will wait to hear how it goes
Really (tong in cheek) your blazing a trail, if you got the time and money many here (including me) would like to know how it goes. I have not seen may with the new systems yet.
I was going to get the AG8, but I'm now waiting until we find out more about the rumored overclocking restrictions that Intel supposedly put on the 915/925 chipsets. You do know the AA8 will require a new 775 CPU, PCI-Express vid card, and DDR2 RAM, right? Perhaps a 24 pin power supply connector too.
Are all the parts needed available? A DR. at work wants me to build him a nice machine and could afford all new top of the line components.

Yeh , read the article here at OC and just about  at the thought of a OC'ing restriction on the next chipset . OMG , why is Intel so worried about a few free MHZ/GHZ .
It will be very interesting to see if this really comes to reallity ; and If so .... not sure what a poor (Intel) OC'er is gonna do for fun and enjoyment in the future .
Can you say AMD64 .....

Yea I agree, such a shame. My plans were to move to Conroe once it is available. But after this news, it *will* be an A64 rig.
Im not buying a PC and not overclocking it. Sorry. I dont care if its considerably slower either. Every PC I own, will be overclocked.
