hi guys,

Like stated, my samsung 17" 753DF has this transparent shadow on everything Depending on the colors of whats on display, some shadows are more appearent than others. It's most noticeable on the desktop or dark icons or text on the light background. It's pretty anoying sometimes to read the tiny texts have shadows.

I tried to look for the monitor settings but nothing seams to help, not even the H/V moire (those make it worst). I also tried the drivers, no help there.

Anyone has any idea how to fix this?

Thanks

Very often these problems can be due to a failing video card. Try a different monitor or different computer before you do anything.

If it follows the monitor, see if the monitor has a convergence setting and try adjusting that.

thx grimdeath

I did tried that, and it works fine with the other monitor.
I did some more research, and this is what they called ghosting. And this is usually due to electrical interferences. I do have 2 pcs and a lazer printer in one circuit, but don't think thats alot at all, plus usually only one pc is on. Anyway I'll test the monitor somewhere else.

change your monitor cable. I just had the same problem and swapped my long cable without the little iron shield thingies for a shorter one that has them and the problem is solved.

I have 9800pro on an nf7-2 v2.

I agree, I have a similar problem, I know it's not the monitor as I use it for 2 PC's, one is on the BNC input which is fine, and the other is on the D-Sub input which sucks due to the crappy cable.
