I'd like to try to hook up my comp to my hdtv using composite video.

I see ATI has an adapter but the price almost doubles with shipping. I'm wondering if you know of any good places to look for an alternate to ATI's adapter?

Or if you have any other suggestions in attempting to do this. I'm a complete newbie when it cxomes to PC to HDTV.

Thanks in advance.

Are you talking about S-Video to component(3 wires) instead of composite??

Composite is the single RCA cable, s-video is the 4 or 7 pin cable and component is the 3 cables. This is also the order of quality from worst to best with DVI being the best.

I am assuming your hdtv doesn't have a DVI input or svideo input. If it did you wouldn't need any adapters and could just hook it up from card to hdtv.

If you are indeed looking for s-vid to composite radioshack should have an adapter for cheap.

I think he is talking about the Digital (DVI) to composite. Red Green Blue. Which none of the cards come with. The only place I have seen them is ATI.

Maybe try www.newegg.com

I got a S-vid to RCA from Radio shack. THOUGHT it would be cheap. Ended up being like 15$. Works though.
