These forums have yet to fail me and there are so many choices for all in one printers. I was wondering for mainly school papers in black and white and for some mild copying in mostly black and white, what would some of you suggest for printing?
I mean I want to do some color printing but for the most part im just looking for a fast clear black and white text printer that can copy and do ok scans in decent color and res.
Also if you have one you simply love can you tell me how much ink it goes through as well?
Btw the one im thinking of getting is the HP PSC 1350 All-in-One anyone have this and if so any problems with it?

That or the Canon MultiPass MP390
I own the Epson CX-5400. Its a great All-in-on, uses durabrite ink, has better specs then the HP that you listed and has the same listed price (but if u look around, you can find it for cheaper).
This though wasnt my first all-in-one. I bought an Epson 5200 a year ago, but then just a few months ago, it broke down (printer heads got clogged) so currently i am trying to get it covered under warrenty. But i needed a printer fast, and since the 5400 was on sale, i purchased it. So far it has been amazing!
- The printing noise has been reduced
- The paper loading is now almost dead silent
- The pages print faster
- The scanning is faster
- and the warming up time has also been reduced.
Other things that i like about the 5400 are that is has 4 separate cartradges, (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black), and if one runs out, you dont have to change the whole colour section. I also enjoy the borederless printing. Since i have a digital camera, i now just upload my images onto my computer, and then print out the ones i want. It saves a lot of time and money from going to Blacks and getting all my pictures developed. The printer also hasnt failed me with printing text documents for school ;) To be honest with you, my friends and teachers have, strangely, come up to me, and stated how good the quality of my prints were.. which i just find a little bit weird.
So yes, this Epson would do everything you need it to do and more for the same price or less. If you want to learn more about the CX-5400, then just click Here (http://www.epson.com/cgi-bin/Store/consumer/consDetail.jsp?BV_UseBVCookie=yes&oid=36478881)

Epson sure has come a long way from when I owned a Styles Color 777... nothing but problems. I'm pretty sure my next printer will be an Epson. Whatever you do, stay away from any Lexmark printer!

Ty for replies, I'm gonna have to look up some stuff on that epson now keke.
I had an HP Officejet V40. It worked great but then stopped working. HP sent us a newer version, the Officejet 4110. It only took a few days to arrive. Unfortunatly it showed up damaged. They sent another one. They also sent UPS labels to return the other printers at no cost. I like their customer service.
The printer works good. The new one prints faster and at higher res, faxes faster, and is about 1/2 the size of the old version. It scans alright. My friend's flat bed scanner is better, but I didn't buy it for scanning. Mostly just for faxing and printing.
However, I am having problems with the new printer. I have it connected to an older machine on my network. If the computer its connected to isn't on Microsoft Word crashes when I open it on another rig. I sent the error report thing and it said it was the HP print driver that was crashing. I have yet to find a fix for it.
