Well, i got my new LCD monitor, a 17.0" TopCon. I actually picked by comparing the same image across several LCD monitors and found this one to provide the best image quality. Response time really didnt matter that much to me at the time because i dont play too many FPS games, im mainly into RTS, RPG and stuff like that, but i do get out the BF1942 once every so often. Anyway when i got home, the box said it has a minimum of 4ms reaction time. Im guessing it's the rising or the falling time, but it never mentioned the overall response time. Is this good? Or could it be some kind of gimmick with a huge overall time that they never mentioned.

Here's the specs of the monitor:
Pixel Pitch: 0.264mm (both horizontal and vertical)
Max. Display Area: 337.920 x 270.336 mm
Highest colour: 16M Colours (24bits)
Response Time: Minimum 4ms
Max Resolution: 1280 x 1024, 75Hz On a LCD, does it matter if i switch between 60Hz and 75Hz?
Power Consumption: 50W Max. in 'ON' Mode
Under 5W in Power Saving Mode (240V AC)
It has an external AC to DC converter
Net Weight: 5kg

I omitted some of the more meaningless specs, but here's the most important parts. Here's a link to the pic with some specs: linkage (http://www.utopian.com.hk/TOPCONLCD-D3-S.htm)

Pretty much test it out on battlefield and see if you like it, response time influence is very subjective. If you dont see any problems, its a fine monitor.(good price too, ~$400) so im guessing full response time is around 25ms, maybe 16ms. Also, thats probably fall time, which is usually much shorter than rise time. Its got a great contrast ratio, so that leads me to a 25ms panel. Hope you like it, thats realy the key point. 60hz is probably better to use on the LCD, (since it does not flicker CRT) with use and 75hz might put unnecessary stress on it.
