Alright, I just started using 2 monitors on one PC and i am having some problems. I am using the 5900 and the stuff built into 53.03 drivers.

Here is what i want to do..

For games.. Have like 2 normal monitors both showing the game in the same way. I will call this "Clone" I can do this with no problems.

I would also like to be able to have the game on my main monitor, and a desktop stuff on the other... if you can do this.

On the Desktop.. I want to have like a regular desktop on the main screen, then the other screen just has a backround/wallpaper and whatever i put over there. I will calll this "DualView"
I can also do this but i have a major problem.. Everytime i swith it to this mode.. my whole pc crashes. I have to restart, but when i restart it will be switched to this mode and working fine.

i can have my PC crash and be in 'DualView' when i restart.
If i try to play a game in 'DualView' my PC will crash
I can change from 'DualView' to 'Clone' to play a game fine.
If i try to go back to 'DualView' from 'Clone' when i am back to desktop stuff.. my pc will crash, but when i restart i can use the 'DualView'
It's really a bitch to have to crash my PC after everytime i play a game.

strange. I am using about the same setup as you (nvidia card, same drivers), and dualview works fine. Sometimes i have to disable the second monitor or a game wont run, but 90% of the time it works great. It has never crashed like that, sometimes games just wont launch or will give some funny error. I would say try different drivers first of all.

Yeah, it is probably something with the drivers. I have been too lazy to try changing them though.. and i don't like the other drivers.

I will try some others, and i am using 2 monitors plugged into the one card btw.

I am using dual monitors and some programs refuse to work on the secondary display. One program, when I move it or set it to work on the secondary moves itself back to the primary during any type of change. BTW I cant get my computer to use large fonts..it crashes...NVidea GeForce FX 5200 with 128mb ram, my secondary is on the DVI connector.
