Well, I think my monitor is going to hell but I'm not entirely sure. When I take a screen shot of my desktop everything looks normal but on the monitor itself it's really messed up. Last night two nearly transparent grey bands appeared across the monitor, they weren't very big but they distorted text as you scrolled down. So text would be really small then as you keeped scrolling it would grow to normal size. Now, my Windows taskbar keeps flickering and right above it the task bar is mirriored but it's very transparent and upside down. There are also a bunch of small black lines across the bottom of the screen now. The problem is only at the very bottom of my screen.

Edit: It's a Compaq MV540 Monitor.

Edit Again: I think my Vid Card was a little loose, could that have possibly been the culprit?

In my experience, a loose video card won't even allow the system to POST let alone boot up. Sounds to me like the monitor is on it's last legs. Any chance you had it next to something like an unshielded subwoofer? BTW, where in IA? I'm in IC.
