... hook up my TV to my vid card? i plugged the svideo from the vid card to the TV, but it just kinda flashes my desktop, and only in black and white... i don't relaly know how to do this, but some tips would be nice.

First, get the latest drivers for the vid card.
and/or
Usually dual monitor hook-ups (yes I know it's a TV) won't work unless you have the s-video connected to the TV BEFORE you start your OS.
