i got this monitor foe xmas and im having trouble setting the rez to 16x12. when ever i change the rez to 1600x1200(desktop or in game) the screen stretches and i have to scroll over to see the the other half of it. ive tried resizing and zooming in and out with the controles on the front panel, but no luck. it runs flawlessly at 1280x1024, but i would like to use 1600x1200.

i know it will do 1600x1200 because my friend has the exact same monitor and we both have roughly the exact same systems.

is it a monitor problem? or couldit be a video problem?

I have the same monitor but I don't know what the problem could be. I would have to guess it's video card related. However, the max refresh rate for it at 1600x1200 is only 68Hz which = headaches for me after a few min. So I'm wondering why you want to use that high of a resolution.
