I have a Samsung SyncMaster 955DF 19inch Flat Panel and an ATI Radeon 9800 Pro, what screen refresh rate should I use? I can pick from 60, 70, and 75. I mostly play games and browse the web if that helps any.

Try and go with whatever feels right for you i would recommend the highest you can get. If the refresh rate is to low you can get headaches and painful eyes

If it's a CRT, then I'd suggest 85Hz refresh. Since you don't have that option, I'd pick the next highest available in your list, which is 75Hz.

60Hz is only good when you own an LCD monitor, or you want to bug your eyes out from the low refresh.

I agree, always go with the highest refresh rate available for the resolution you choose.

I have a 955 DF as well. You have to go to 1600x1024 to only have a choice between 60 to 75 Hz. I hope you plan on bumping up the size of your icons! :D

I have the same monitor and I am getting an ATI 9800 Pro, should i keep the 19" or upgrade to a 21" ? I want to run everything at 1600x1200, but this Samsung 955DF doesnt have the best refresh/geometry at that resolution...

ug, how do you guys run windows in 1600x1200? I can barely stand 1280x1024, writing is so small
