DVI output on lcd help.

i own a ti4200 with both DVI and analogue outputs. i tried to hook up my lcd moniter (analogue) to the dvi output on my vid card using the analogue to DVI converter that came with the video card but when i do this i get no signal to the monitor.

Am i missing something here?
