The DVI output on my Hercules 8500le just plain doesn't work. I've tried multiple monitors, two DVI->VGA adapters, both single- and dual-monitor configurations, and several driver versions, and it has never worked. Am I forgetting to do something?

the second monitor just shows no signal, even when I set it to be the primary display or when I unplug my main monitor and boot with just the second monitor hooked up to the DVI jack.

Are all the monitors you plugged into the DVI port using the DVI->Analog converter? If so that may be the problem. I heard that some DVI ports are not compatible with converters and some are. DVI-I vs DVI-D.

yeah, I've been keeping my eyes pealed for a digital monitor I could borrow to test out the port itself, but I have yet to come across one.

That would be the problem then most likely. The LEs didn't support DVI->VGA adapters, and the only way that you could get it to work would be to run it straight into a monitor with DVI in.
