My 19" Sony died.

I need to buy another gaming monitor. www.sharkyextreme.com has been using NEC Mitsubishi DP2070 for their extreme gaming guide for a while.

Called a local retailer, they said they didn't have DP2070 in stock, but have FP2141. Retailer doesn't know what their differences are. When I check on www.necmitsubushi.com, these two monitors have EXACTLY the same specs.

Emailed a tech support dude, and this is the response I got
-----------------------------
Basically they are the same monitor. The differences between the two are some minor differences in the on screen menus and the name for the most part. Since NEC and Mitsubishi have merged, they have combined the technology and used the best of the best to produce both of those monitors. Thank you for contacting NEC/Mitsubishi Service & Support. Please do not hesitate to contact us in the future.
-----------------------------

The 2141 is priced a little higher than the 2070... So which one should I buy? :(

Depending on the price difference, if they are the same monitor then I would go with the 2141 if thats all that is in stock.

Everywhere I have looked the 2141 is priced lower than the 2070. Dell Home is running free shipping and 10% off on both the 2141 and 2070 right now. If you do order through Dell make sure you get to the Dell site by going through the Cash Back link at http://www.fatwallet.com/ This will save you an additional 3%. If you are unfamiliar with how the cash back thing works all you have to do is make a FREE account at the fatwallet site and go to the Dell site by clicking on the link from the cash back section. After you complete your order on the Dell site, after a certain amount of time you will get whatever 3% of your Dell order was added to your Cash Back account on the fatwallet site. You can then request they send you a check or send the money to a Paypal account. At least that is the way I understand that it works, I havent tried it myself yet.
