How strong are the insides of a computer monitor in average? I want to know coz I want to mod my monitors casing. I want to make it clear so i can see everything inside the monitor.
Can this be done?

It depends on the monitor... if you do anything to the case, make sure you keep at least enough of it to hold the weight of the CRT and keep the mainboard stable. Also, since monitors are cooled convectively, use an exhaust fan if you plan on doing away with any ventilation holes.
Finally, be very careful around the electronics... not only is there a shock hazard that can pose a serious risk to health around the power supply capacitors and anode wire (the big red one), there is also a danger of accidental damage to the tube neck if it is hit.
I strongly suggest not making any modifications like this to CRT monitors without the proper electronics training. However, if you decide to go ahead anyway, you should head over to www.repairfaq.org and read up a little on safety around CRT's.
Here's the direct link to the CRT page: http://www.repairfaq.org/sam/crtfaq.htm
