My wonderful 21inch trinitron monitor has sudenly aquired a strong green tint.
The color adjustment on the on screen menu allows me to adjust red, blue and green. By red and blue- it has adjustable levels. By green is says "fix" and wont let me do anything to it.
Its an older monitor- so there is no tech support to explain what is meant by "fix"
Is my monitor toast?

Can you adjust red and blue to compensate? If not, there could be many causes of this - you'd need to get it to a tech who had the proper tools to diagnose and fix these - ideally a Sony service center with the proper factory alignment interface and software. I'll admit I don't usually take on newer Sony monitors myself unless the flaw is obviously not going to take those alignment gadgets to fix. Sony doesn't like us independant techs :(

LOL- I feel like a dummy
One of the pins on the monitor cable had come loose- the red pin- so the monitor was getting no red input and therfore came out green.
Oh well- at least its working now :)

Sure beats what they would charge you for fixing it ;)

lol, that's what i was going to suggest.
one of my monitors has a bad plug that's a little difficult to get to stay in, and it does that if you don't have it in right.
