Reformatting HD after new motherboard install

Do I have to reformat after I install a new motherboard from an epox 8k9ai to an epox 8rda+. (via chipset to nforce2)

So do I need to reinstall windows?

i've had to reinstall windows before when i switched to my nforce... but i dont really know why i had to or if you would have to. i always reinstall when i switch to a new motherboard anyways just because it's nice. :D

usually you have to reinstall if you switch to a new chipset but not always
