What The ?!!?! Hellp!

k. this is REALLY ****ing me off so ill try to stay as calm as possible.

I moved all my components to my other case. no problems right?

ok. Now my hard drive doesnt read unless the IDE cable is REVERSED. and to top it all off the power switch wire plugged into my mobo, i pressed it and everything was going "faster"(cpu fan went faster and all) and started to smoke..

MY QUESTION IS HOW THE **** DO I GET MY HARD-DRIVE TO READ CORRECTLY WITHOUT THE IDE CABLE BEING REVERSED .AHH DIE. IVE BEN ON THIS THING FOR MORE THAN 2 ****ING HOURS:mad:

almost 2 hours after post, i got the HD working. I cant get the god damned CD-rom to work now. it read ONCE. now it doesnt even turn on or anything(changed ide channel's reseated power, everything)

Wow, that doesn't sound at all good. What kind of powersupply is in the new case? If I were you for now, I'd put everything back in the old case so you don't burn something up. Smoke is very very VERY bad in computers. (RIP Asus P4S333:( )

ya, forgot to mention i put it all back in the old case, with the new psu (350 watt by "sunny technologies" - ill stick with generic lol)

but ya.. now my cd-rom wont read at all, everything is fine at least..
