anyone got some cooling tips
my cooling stuff is a volcano 9 heatsink and fan, i have 2 case fans 3100rpm each blowing in air. i use arctic silver 3 thermal compund i put it on right only a small layer on the heatsink/fan to cover the small gaps.
the highest temps on my mobo is 42ish i have cooling devices on my ram too thermaltake copper heatspreaders. i use a gigabyte mobo
could the reading be wrong? and any tips to cool? oh and it is not overclocked.

First of all, what cpu are you trying to cool? Are you sure you seated the heatsink properly? Make sure you can't move it once it's installed... Since you're not overclocking, try lowering the vcore setting in your bios. That should help your cpu running a little cooler.

Case fans:
Front case air IN
Back case air OUT

Try opening the case to see if it will reduce the temps as these hot days poor air circulation in the case will heat up your CPU no matter what, if case air is too hot.

The hot days are having a serious affect on my machine, its ushally OK, temp stay around 35 - 40, but recently since its been really hot they have gone up too 50.
Gettin a lil worried really coz the wheather has started to cool down but the CPU is still at 50??

ok im gonna redirect 1 fan to take out air oh i have a AMD barton 2500. the heatsink is on correct i canit might be it move it at all. and it could be the temp of summer to raising the comps temp.

Try like 1.65 or even 1.6 if you need to... Unless the mobo has smaller increments.. try 1.69.. then go until its unstable then Up it a bit more til its stable.

so far i have...
reseated the heatsink/fan
i reapplied the arctice silver 3
i have 1 fan blowing in air and 1 blowing out air

and now the result..... my max temp i saw is (idle)57-62(full load):)
and other tips? to get it to 50? hmm i wounder if its just my crappy mobo telling me false temps....

Yes open the case and keep it open to see if the temps get lower.

some moboes read the core temperature while MOST moboes read the cpu surface temperature.

my surface is 45C and core is 59C.

yep yep have u checked the temps in bios? it should say core and surface. all mobo dependent. check your mobo manufacturer forum for help and info.
