Well, after finding that my memory could go up to 211, I upped my multiplier to 7 to give me a speed around the stock speed of my 1700+. Started the Prime95 Torture test and can't even run it for 30 seconds before I get an error. I have no idea what the problem is, since I'm still running at about stock speed. Upped vCore all the way to 1.65, and still get the error. Any ideas?

maybe ram voltage?

Is your setup the same as the one in your sig?

Well, if your cpu is about stock, I'd say it's likely a memory problem. Run memtest86 (have i do all tests instead of just standard, will take 8 hours or so...) to check. It could also be PSU related. Give us all temps voltages and stats for CPU, Mobo, RAM and PSU.

vDimm voltage is all the way up at 2.9. CPU is about 40 idle at 1.65 vCore, no fluctuation on 12v, 3.3 v, or 5v. Memory ran memtest for a few hours on all tests, no errors. Same setup as in my sig.

Doesn't he need a lot more than 1.65 Vcore to get more than 211 FSB?

No, most people can get like 2 GHz at stock vCore (1.5), and vCore shouldn't be a problem since I'm still running about stock speed, just with a multiplier and FSB change. Anyway, found out it is a memory problem. Getting errors in test 8. Can't even run at 200 MHz without errors. I'm gonna test each memory stick individually to see if one is bad.

Urm... why not up Vcore just to see how much higher of an FSB you can get...?

Hey whats the differance between the three different torture tests?? Should they all be error free or are some more error prone that others???

Each one tests a different part of the system more rigorously. This was put in to help people diagnose hardware problems....They should all run error free.

Vcore has nothing to do with it, it's my memory that's crapping out, and my VDimm is already at 2.9. Anyway, I found that running the sticks in DIMM slots 2 and 3 worked fine. Could this mean there is a problem with my DIMM1 slot? One stick actually ran up to 208 MHz with 2-2-2 timings by itself in DIMM3, didn't test to see how high the other could go. Now both of them are fine at 200 MHz, 2-3-2. Oh yeah, and now windows keeps telling me I need to reactivate Windows because my hardware has changed significantly. WTF??? Taking out a 256MB stick of RAM and leaving everything else the same is a significant change? And now everything is exactly the same as when I installed Windows, and that message is still popping up.
