Odd comparison

ok guys, I know the people here are the top there is! I am looking for something of a weird bird.
Which do I want to performance wise, and everall just a better build.

I have an HP xt963
Cel 1.2
10G
cd
yadda yadda yadda.

or do I want to go with a build
Acorp O/C Socket A
Athlon 900
10G
cd
yadda yadda yadda.
Both machines will be comparable, just the diff in CPU's.

Personal pref would be the AMD way, plus I could turn around and resell the factory HP. What do you guys (and ladies) think?

If DDR, then AMD. If pc133, then Celeron.
It's close either way. But the AMD does have a much nicer upgrade path... at least a 1.4gig tbird.
