View Full Version : Putting thermometer on CPU

I got one of those lcd screens that have a thermometer that u tape onto something. I wanted to put it on my water cooled 2600+ but im not sure exactly how to put it on without damaging the cpu. If someone could, can you post up a diagram that u drew in paint or something on where the thermo piece should go? Also what kind of tape should i use?

I think that the closest you can get to the cpu is by drilling a hole through the top of your heatsink, and dropping the probe down there.

drill a hole? i dont think this thermometer was made to be that difficult. they said not to put it on the chip part of the amd processor i was thinking maybe i had to stick it on the flat part of the cpu like this

^^ Thats about right. Have it as close to the core as possible without being on top of it.
