hi,
i want to put an avatar on my profile but it will not allow me to add 1.
i have enough posts to add 1 but the 1 i want is too big, it says "That image is too large. The maximum dimensions are 120 by 120 pixels."
is there some way to shrink the image so it can fit?
the size of the file is 160x120.
the image is a gif file, so is there some way to change the file size of it?
thanks for your help ;)

Simply resize it in a graphics program.
To do it in Paint, open it up through File-Open in paint. Then goto Image->Attribute and resize it. Once your happy, save it and upload it again.

if its an animated GIF, like yours, it may be more complicated than that.

You also need to have a minimum of 100 posts before you can have an Avatar. Acording to your profile you've got 50 some.

I think you only need to have 50 posts in order to have an avatar.

Woops That's what I ment. Sorry I was thinking about me needing 100 to get into some fo the areas of the forum. That's what I get for browsing the forums at work. Can't concentrate on them properly.

You're over 50 posts now, so you're allowed to have an avatar. It has to be under 10kb and 120x120 pixels. I'm closing the thread because it's no longer purposeful. Good work hitting 50 posts. Enjoy the rest of your stay here.
