Best Gaming CRT!!!!

Well I have about $250 for a CRT monitor.... either 17" or 19"
I don't want lcd because of ghosting etc.

NEC mULTIsYNC fe991sb is what i have and its awsome. I got it for 230 after rebates at Frys. Oh yea its a 19in.

i just got the viewsonic a90f+ for 280 from frys and i love it! running 12*10 @ 75Hz

I recently boughta p95f+ (viewsonic) and game running at 1600x1200 @ 85hz is just amazing.

It was just under $300 if you can swing it...nearly perfectly flat screen (a review using an led in a dark room shows that the actual screen is slightly curved) aside from 1 row of dead pixles, which i've since gotten use to, although it does upset me and i wonder how common it is.

If not the p95f, for $250 i dont think anything really comes close to a viewsonic.

I forgot about the ultra bright mode on this moniter...it's great!

horizontal dot pitch is .20mm, can't beat that. Price is competitive too. Check out the reviews on newegg as well.

@jagid - It's not a row of "dead pixels" CRT's don't have pixels, and individual spots like that don't die like in LCD's What it is is the wire that holds the aperature grill in place. Many people buy these monitors not realizing that all AG's have one or two of these in them and end up thinking it's a defect.

Samsung SyncMaster 955df, price well under $220. 1280 x 1024 @ 75 hertz. Maybe not the best but can't beat the price.

have had my Samsung 19" SyncMaster 955df for 3 years now and I just love it. No problems gaming with it and the picture looks great.
