I've got a 17" LG Flatron E700S (semi-flat), gives only 75Hz at 1152x864. :(

I could buy another one of the same model, which is quite cheap.

Or I could get the pure flat 19" LG Flatron F900P which does 1600x1200 at 85Hz.

Well if I decide to stick to a 17", I could get the 17" LG Flatron F700P which does 100Hz @ 1152x864. Its a pure flat monitor btw. So how would that work out?

So basically I've three options:

1] two 17" ~ 1152x864 @ 75Hz (both semi-flat)
2] two 17" ~ 1152x864 @ 75Hz & 100Hz (only one pure flat)
3] single 19" ~ 1280x1024 & 85Hz/100Hz (pure flat)

hey.. could i use the 19" with the old 17"... i'm sure i would be able to do that, but how would it look & perform? I've a GF4 Ti4200-8X, dual head & VIVO. any advice?

I run a pimp 21inch monitor as a primary and a 6 year old crap 17 as a secondary and its actually a good arrangement. Although the 17 only does 800x600, its great for putting trillian, temp monitors, or winamp on while I do work on the main montior.

It in some ways niceer than having two of the same size.

i run a 17" LCD 1280x1024 and a 17" CRT 1152x864 which actually are different sizes (measured differently) and i have no problems with it.

i would go that route.

If it was my decision i would probably go for having dual monitors, and i'd probably take the flat ones... but thats just my opinion
