Hey,
Im looking to get a new monitor sometime very shortly. I looked at both CRT and LCD and just decided that pricewise, LCD monitors are impractical for gaming. I decided Ill probably go with a new 19" CRT and a Radeon 9800 instead :) Anyway, now that I have decided what I am going to get, which one do you all think I should get? I am looking for a black one so Im open to any suggestions as long as they come in black. Thanks.
My vote is for the viewsonic A90F. It has beautiful picture qaulity and is black and silver which fits your needs :)
im using the viewsonic e90f+sb
its a good monitor

viewsonic has always seemed low end to me. i like samsung and NEC/mitsubishi for CRT's. samsung has made some beautiful CRT's. their LCD's are so bad either.

I think Im going to go with a 19" NEC, great looks and picture and the price is right. $240, not bad at all.

How can you say viewsonic is low end? They are some of the best monitors on the market these days. I would go viewsonic over NEC any day, the quality is much better and the features are really nice if you go with a G or P series. Granted NEC monitors are good but viewsonic is better. Just my .02

check out 21inchers on ebay.
I got my hp (sony trinitron rebadge) for $150 shipped!
They go for dirt cheap :D
In general, Ive found the trinitrons to be of outstanding quality.

I would have to say the top end Sony's are the best you can buy, but Viewsonic's are right up there.
