Hi, I'm upgrading my comp to a Pentium 4 1.3 Ghz and don't know a good motherboard to buy. I'm looking to spend somewhere around $100-180. I need overclockability but cost is my main priority. Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to the forum, I hope you enjoy your time here! :)

I would recommend the Abit TH7-RAID and the ASUS P4T. I'm sorry I don't know what they cost in the US. Both cards can overclock nicely, but I guess they are a bit expensive.

I think one of the cheapest you can get that still is a decent card would be the MicroStar 850 Pro.

Hope this helps you out a bit?

I almost made this upgrade, so I happen to know the answer.

For cost/features, the Abit is currently the best. Pricewatch.com should list them for about $150.00, maybe even less.

The Asus is a nice board, but cost a lot more and doesn't gurantee better anything otherthan brand name recognition.
