Well I'm thinking I should upgrade to P4 in a bit here and wanted to start looking around. ATM I am using a p3v4x, and love it. Thinking I want to get over 1ghz and might as well go with p4 . Gonna wait about a month or 2 before I buy, But not sure what a good p4 board entails. Any help/recommendations will be most appreciated
From the reviews i have read, the asus p4t is a good socket 423 board. And asus does have a good reputation for making solid boards. But you might want to wait a bit longer; late this year or early next year for the new p4 chips, socket 478 if i remember that right. These will require new motherboards altogether.
the Asus p4 mobo is great and comes with crimms but why would you waste your money on a p4. wait until intel gets this one right.

P4 recommendations:
Burn it shoot it stab it kill it just don't buy it. If you want to spend all that money on a P4 this is what I'd to.I'd go get one killer AMD 1.2 OC it and get a water cooled system. I think that is still below the price of the P4 even without the rambus.

Thanks a bunch for the input. If I can hold out till they release the 478 socket ones think it would be worth, it, or should I *gulp* buy an AMD. . . .

AMD will give you a much better overclock because you can unlock the Multipliers on their chips. Plus you can get one a lot cheaper.
AMD is not a four letter word!
