My monitor needs help I think

Alright, heres my problem.

I have a Samsung SyncMaster 955DF and a Radeon 8500LE,


When I set the res to anything higher than 1280 x 1024 it makes the desktop bigger than the monitor can show at one time, and then I have to use the mouse to scroll the area that I see like a RTS game, ala StarCraft. Its annoying, I want to see what 1600 x 1200 looks like. Please help!!

well unless i missed some setting on mine, if it does that then teh resollution wont work... one of mine does that too i hate it :(

Max res supported by monitor is 17 somethin', the vid card is supposed to go higher, maybe windows has a problem with that high a res?

no windows works with all resolutions up to liek 22wahteverX20wahter or somthing... that isnt it (at least i dont ink it is)
