View Full Version : Submerging the motherboard
I am building a freon cooled system for my computer and i don't want to go through the trouble of localizing the chip so i don't get frost or condensation on my motherboard. i figured that submurging it would be the easyest choice so i am asking about what would be the best substance i can submerge my board in.
WOW! This sounds like a job for SuperTim!

I've read several articles where Flourinert was used. They cooled the flourinert first with dry ice and then with liquid nitrogen - then it quit working as it got too cold.

mmmm, that seems not to be an affordable idea as the fluorinert cost as 500 bucks a gallon or so
the fluorinert itslef would be more expensive than the system lol
