I asked a while back about whether a CPU that is faster than the board's original specs will be recognized by the board's BIOS. Tim replied and told me that it depends on the board (thanks Tim)and the only way to know was to try it.

Before I spend money on a new CPU, I was hoping to find someone who actually tried to run a faster CPU on this board or if there is a site with a motherboard database.

Thanks

Yes, no bios updates needed, it will give a messed up name but thats it. A tualatin 1.3 ghz on a Slot-T works fine. I have one myself. If you want to overclock remember this is a 100mhz board, no /4 for the PCI, but there are undocumented (google them) jumper settings that will give u 112mhz and 133 mhz fsb.
