I have to say I just picked up a pair of Sennheiser 590's and they are by far the best sound I have ever heard . Well I shouldn't say that "Tweeter Etc." where I bought them had some 600's but they were 2x as much. I would recommend these to anyone. I used to listen to crap headphones all the time, the difference is beyond amazing. If anyone is looking into headphones check out the Sennheiser line, before you gaff at the price first just listen :D

do they cover your entire ear? or just rest on your earlobes. i have been looking for some new headphones, and sennheisers are quite good i know...but i dont want ones that just rest on the ear, they MUST cover my entire ear.

No these cover your entire ear, and they dont hurt your head or anything. Here is a link (http://www.sennheiser.com/sennheiser/icm_eng.nsf/root/04486) to their site. I use them with my TB Scruz card and my stereo system.

Holy crap  $250 for a pair of headphones? That's insane.

I picked them up for about $200, but they seriously sound amazing. If you really like good quality in your music you would appreciate them. It's really like buying a several thousand dollar Hi-Fi system, the quality is that good.

well, maybe not a several thousand dollar system, but they are great I have and older pair and am blown away every time I use them, If you need a good pair of 'phones then sennhieser is the way to go, better than any computer speakers

I'd like to back up Toledo on the high price: These things sound AMAZING!!!

I was given a pair for christmas because my parents didn't want to hear my Z-560's when they were going to bed, so they got these for me :)

I think I use my headphones more now too than the Z-560's :D

You don't get much better then Sennheiser. Be it headphones, Dj equip, speakers or wireless equipment.

Ran a show a little while ago with an 8 channel Sennheisser wireless receiver (VHF) it was rented but the rental company said they paid close to 12 grand for it (Cdn).

LOL, speaking of Senheiser legacy equipment. Got a headset here from 1991, cost 125 Cdn at the time and it's still some of the best sound I've heard from headphones.

great purchase!

i recently bought a set of HD580s. I love them to death!

now if i could only afford a better cd player and a headphone amp.

actually getting hifi sound from headphones is easier and much much less expensive than loudspeakers. i'd say a 1,500 dollar headphone setup could compete with a 10,000-15,000 loudspeaker setup.

much much better than the sony v series.

alot more neutral and clear. the v series headphones are notorious for being way too loud in the bass and slightly coarse in the treble.

good price on those cans. i paid 105 for my HD580s :)

see sig :)

and you will love the 590s. a bit brighter and more rockish than my 580s. meant more for urban music like rock/pop/techno rather than classical or jazz like my 580s (which still sound great with the urban music)

I have the HD600 and they're good! The headphone is pretty bright. One thing I don't like about the 600 is the way it looks. The band around the head looks like marble. The headphone squeezes somewhat hard on my head. Maybe I have a big head. :) I think this headphone would be good for classical music.
