New Creative SB Drivers... what date are yours?

Ok.... If you have the new creative drivers installed for a SB Live! or a SB Live! Value... tell me what date it says under your system propertiies. Mine SAID feburary. I thought it was supposed to be a newer date, but the guys @ creative told me that is supposed to say feburary. Well I just re-installed and got march drivers. What does everyone else have?

Mine are from 6/21/01. I should update the driver, but everything seems to be working fine so I never bothered eith it.

I installed my drivers off my disk then went & got an update
for it

But I didnt see any Driver too DL ?

Mine was from the cd which I got for christmas last year.

mine are from 18/3/2002 got them from www.soundblaster.com or you can also try www.creaf.com or www.creative.com running Windows XP Pro SP-1 and the new drivers solved a lot of sound related problems i was having in games i suggest you people do upgrade your drivers

Well I think since I applied the patch thing to my cd install Im good to go on 98v2

I know that with the release of sp1 for xp there was a driver update from MS for the Soundblaster cards DID YOU INSTALL THAT ?

i upgraded the driver first with this new freshly installed Windows XP and after couple of days i downloaded and installed SP-1

Cuz some one told me that if you install & update the Creative Driver & then Install the winXp sp1 updated driver for creative card's it will corrupt the Sound driver ?


They told me that I should Install XP, Install Mobo Drivers, Install SP1 for XP then install Xp driver's Updates (Ie: the soundblaster one) then install Creatives Drivers for the Soundblaster from my install CD & update them with the update patch from creatives sight

Sounds like a lot of work huh....

cozmo_d i updated the creative drivers first and than i updated the SP-1 i have not noticed any kind of problems what so ever

hmmm.... strange on my old mobo (Abitkt7 raid)

heres what I did

format reinstall winxp pro, installed mobo drivers,inst.. creative drivers from my cd that came with it, updated the drivers with the patch from creative then.... I installed spk1 & the driver update from ms for xp.....after I did that the sound went too tottal crap had to reformat to fix it.
