i am connectin it to the amplifier using the coaxial input of the ampliphier and i dont have any sound although the spdif is enabled both from powerdvd an the soundblaster utility.
an something else, are there any specifications of the cards outpus (those who are on the right side of the card)

That won't work. I have no idea what in the world would actually fit in there that would in turn fit in a coaxial but that isn't one of them. It's smaller than a regular RCA plug.
For SP/DIF out you'll need to use the Live Drive.

You need a 1/8 stereo phone jack that splits into 2 leads with rca female connectors on the end of each lead. That will let you hook up the Coax. Use the yellow output on the sound card.
To enable the digital output, you have to open the windows mixer program and click on the advanced button. Then check the digital output only box.
Works for me.

i do the same thing maximouse but i have no sound during dvd playback or any other sound source (mp3 wav etc)

I dont know if that will help, but its worth a try.
Also if you are using the jack to rca connector I specified above, then only one of the rca jacks can be used. Try switching them but do not try using both together or you wont get the digital signal.
